KN University was founded on a clear conviction: that the wisdom of India's ancient traditions of learning and the possibilities of the Artificial Intelligence era belong on the same campus. Established in 2023 under the Gujarat Private Universities Act, KNU offers UG, PG and doctoral programmes across seven faculties from its home on S.G. Highway, Gota, Ahmedabad.

KN University is sponsored by the Mahavira Education Trust (Reg. No. E-21747), an education trust with a rich legacy of learning in Gujarat. What began as a network of schools nurturing young learners has grown, step by step, into a university — carrying the same values of discipline, compassion and academic seriousness from the classroom to the campus.
In 2023, the trust's journey culminated in the establishment of KN University on S.G. Highway, Ahmedabad — so a learner can now travel from their first classroom all the way to a doctorate within one educational family.
