What Is a Professor of Practice?
A Professor of Practice is a distinguished expert invited into the university from industry, research, public service or the professions — chosen for a track record of real-world accomplishment rather than a purely academic path. The position was formalised by the University Grants Commission in 2022 and embodies the spirit of NEP 2020: opening the classroom to proven practitioners.
At KN University, our Professor of Practice teaches and mentors students, helps shape an industry-relevant curriculum and guides research — so learning is grounded in how the real world actually builds, discovers and leads.
Industry-Grounded Teaching
